First dress and second dress.

My niece, Heather, is getting married on 9/20/2008. We are very good friends as well as being family. We are close in age.. I am just 6 years older than her. She has asked me to be in the wedding (among others). She decided on black and white for the colors as well as a splash of lime green because that was her daughter, Veronica's, favorite color when she was still with us.

There are 3 ladies standing up with Heather - me, her friend Danna, and my GMIL who is 94. We are all getting black and white dresses.. not necessarily matching. Deb had an amazing sale on prom-type dresses. The first one.. I loved it the minute I saw it. It does fit me.. but it is TIGHT. After getting it home and trying it on again, I was a little leery about it. I am only going to be losing weight at this point.. but I didn't want to have to wear that skin tight dress all day and be uncomfortable. Heather's friend Danna ended up taking it, and it does fit her better. She is more comfortable in it. The second dress, I got it at a different Deb store. It is MUCH more comfortable, and I really am looking forward to wearing it now!

Dress #1. I paid $15.80 for it. Not bad, right?

Dress #2 and what I will be wearing.. I paid under $20 for this one.. I think $19.88 or something. Still an awesome deal. They were both marked down from well over $100. This mostly black one is far more slimming than the white of the first one. You could see every ripple of my body - NOT cute. This one has a white sheath type dress underneath and then the black satin over which makes everything smooth. I just love it!
